Founded and led by owner Amanda Gourgue in 2008, Meeting Revolution’s expertise includes a multidisciplinary team of content experts representing the fields of business administration, event planning, sales, strategic planning, marketing, public relations, sustainability and nonprofit management.

Amanda Gourgue, Chief Meeting Revolutionist aka "Owner"

Amanda has more than twenty years of experience within the hospitality and nonprofit industries. She has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Hotel/Restaurant-Institutional Management from Johnson & Wales University, a Master’s of Business Administration degree with a focus in Sustainability from Antioch University New England and a Masters of Environmental Law and Policy from Vermont Law School. She is a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) and is a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP). Amanda has the honor of being the first CMP in the world to receive a LEED AP.

She has consulted, presented, and written articles in the areas of marketing, corporate responsibility, healthy buildings and event planning. In addition, she served on several committees to help create the APEX/ASTM Environmentally Sustainable Meeting Standards and the ISO 20121 Event Sustainability Management System Standards. Amanda also served as a judge for the IMEX-GMIC Green Awards for eight years.

Alexandra Evans, Art Director/Graphic Designer

Alexandra Evans has over ten years experience working within the design industry after completing a degree in Graphic Communication (Hons) at The Atrium, Glamorgan University. After graduating in 2009, Alex cut her teeth at several print houses, gaining both valuable experience and a passion for all things printed. Fast forward eight years and having worked in a variety of in-house design departments, Alex now specializes in bringing a consistent visual brand to life throughout all aspects of her clients' touch points from their social media memes through to their printed marketing, ensuring that their message speaks clearly to their audience.

Monique Forbes Dickerson, Event Director

Monique holds a Masters Degree in Hospitality and Tourism / Event and Meeting Management from George Washington University and a second Masters Degree in Educational Leadership and Counseling from Eastern Michigan University. She earned her Bachelors from Western Michigan University in Social Psychology. For over 20 years Monique has played many different roles in managing events working with a wide range of industries and industry leaders. Her work in Hospitality and Meeting Management has led her to planning events across the globe. Her passion is working on events that are focused on diversity, health, and education. Monique currently lives just south of Atlanta, GA with her husband and two children.

Kristy George, Director of Storytelling

Kristy George is a longtime journalist and writer, penning blogs for local newspapers and magazines for her local community. She brings a diverse set of skills to the position, including more than 20 years as a communications and marketing professional. A previous communications director at the Eastern Shore Land Conservancy, a conservation nonprofit, Kristy has also served as the former Executive Director for a local childcare nonprofit and for the front office of Maryland Comptroller Peter Franchot.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Kristy is active in several community initiatives in her community including the Mid-Shore Character Counts! program and local Little League. Kristy earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Salisbury University and is working toward a Master of Science degree from the University of Maryland. She lives on Maryland’s Eastern Shore with her husband, Kevin and two sons. She also owns a small photography studio and travel planning business.

Serena Poulin, Multitasking Master

Serena Poulin is a Keene State College student focusing on a political science major with a minor in financial economics with plans to graduate in 2023. She is passionate about helping others and developing within her educational field. As multitasking master, Serena provides support to help things run smoothly and stay organized.

Sara Strohschein, Social Media Director

Sara Strohschein graduated from Central Michigan University in May 2020 with a degree in Integrative Public Relations. Sara’s love for social media, writing and correct grammar is what brought her to explore the world of public relations. Since graduating, Sara has spent time as a publicist, social media manager and freelance writer. In her spare time, Sara enjoys reading young adult novels, scrolling through Instagram and spending time with her two cats.
